Designer

Day of Remembrance is an annual two-day event held at a children’s hospital campus in Tennessee. The event brings together families whose children have passed away from cancer to honor their lives, reconnect with hospital staff, and support one another through shared experiences.

The gathering includes remembrance services, family discussions, and activities designed to help families reflect on their child’s legacy while finding community and healing. The visual identity aimed to create a compassionate and hopeful atmosphere that balanced remembrance with warmth and connection.

Work

Working alongside an art director, I helped define the visual direction for the event identity. The design centered around butterflies — a symbolic element of the yearly event — combined with soft watercolor textures and a calm color palette to create a gentle and reflective tone.

Inspired by themes of nature, healing, and hope, I developed the artwork style and visual treatments used across the event materials. I gathered supporting imagery and textures and created templates that established a consistent look for the event.

I designed several key pieces used in the event communications and environment, including invitations, RSVP materials, staff and family t-shirts, and on-screen signage displayed during the event.

Apparel designed for staff and families attending the event.

Motion graphics developed by the production team using the event identity.
